I’m Jamie, writer of fiction and half-truths. Welcome to Rerouted Writer.

Rerouted means a lot of things to me. It reflects the divergent paths my writing has taken since I began a creative writing course a long time ago. From sci-fi and dark psychological fiction, to opinion pieces and travel blogs. It also has connections to the various walks and hikes that I regularly undertake and write up. Most of all however, it stands for the many ways in which my life in general is always rerouting itself, how much things have changed for me personally, and how I wish to continue to reroute into the future so that I can get to where I really want to be.

The content is broken down into a few categories – Walking, in which I give a different slant on a walking guide (think experiences rather than accurate directions), Travel, a work in progress that will be updated on places I visit, Fiction, I think that speaks for itself, and finally Rerouted, where you’ll find thoughts and reflections on anything I find worth writing about.

I hope you’ll stick around and enjoy Rerouted Writer. 1. Glad to meet you, Jamie. Keep up the writing and I hope to read one of your best selling novels one day. And thanks for following papermudandme.com. Until next time, thanks again and Aloha – pjs/

  2. Happy to meet you, Jamie. It’s always wonderful to read words penned by a teachable heart. One of my old professors once said, “If you ever stop learning, do me a favor and stop writing.” You have a good perspective from the start. I look forward to reading more.

  3. Thanks for taking time to come visit my blog. Time is valuable and I appreciate yours. I try to write about stuff that makes me laugh or think or wonder. If someone else reads my writing and is moved to similar reactions, I would be very pleased. Thanks again and best wishes with your writing.

    1. Hey Kirst – thank you very much for this. I really do appreciate hearing that people read and enjoy the blog 🙂 I will try my best to do something, however life is a little bit bonkers at the mo – we’re relocating to the other side of the country and things are very much in the air at the mo so I’m struggling to find time to write anything at all :/

  4. Hope it’s okay for me to throw this here, Jamie. FF to delete comment when you’re done with it. I just ran across a pub that you might be interested in (no pay, unfortunately). Have you seen/heard of Weirderary? I believe (and from what I’ve read of you) you said you like the weird and absurd . . . If you’ve not seen it yet, here’s a link: http://weirderary.com/submit/
